Welcome to the Girder Skirts™ Apparel site! Girder Skirts™ was founded by Allison “Ally” Jencson, President and CEO of Frontline Floor Coatings, a sub-contracting business specializing in concrete polishing and epoxy/urethane coatings. As a tradeswoman herself, Ally discovered very quickly that there are not a lot of resources or support out there for the less than 2% of female construction workers who are tradeswomen. So, being the resourceful rebel she is, Ally created Girder Skirts™, a community for tradeswomen to support and connect with each other, just like a girder does for a physical structure. By purchasing a shirt, you are helping to provide needed resources for creating and implementing educational and support programs to the growing number of women entering the construction trades industries. One of Ally’s main goals is to help tradeswomen embrace their unique feminine bad-assery so enjoy and share these fun, sparkly and empowering designs!
